Trivia # 56: Amalthea Discovery Day

Did you know...

... that today is Amalthea Discovery Day? In 1892, American
astronomer Edward Barnard discovered Jupiter's fifth moon,
Amalthea. It was the first moon of Jupiter to be discovered
since Galileo's original discovery of the first four moons of
Jupiter in 1610. Celebrate by spending some time looking up at
the stars and planets tonight!
